NOAA's national marine sanctuary offices and visitor centers are currently closed to the public, and in accordance with Executive Order 13991 - Protecting the Federal Workforce and Requiring Mask Wearing, all individuals in NOAA-managed areas are required to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance on mask-wearing and maintaining social distances. Sanctuary waters remain open for responsible use in accordance with CDC guidance, U.S. Coast Guard requirements, and local regulations. 2010 Marine Art Contest

The 2010 Marine Art Contest was an unqualified success, with almost 400 students submitting entries. Entries came from 27 schools, including a middle school in Serbia, and several homeschooled students. This year we had a Grand Prize Winner, Hailey Creed, a 12th grade student from Plymouth South High School, who won four whale watch tickets from the Dolphin Fleet of Provincetown.

Sponsors for the 2010 contest were: Massachusetts Marine Educators, Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, New England Aquarium, Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies, Stellwagen Alive-Friends of the National Marine Sanctuary, and the Blue Bunny Bookstore. We are pleased to showcase the winners and honorable mentions on this website.
