Scituate Maritime and Irish Mossing Museum -- The Driftway, Scituate, MA
This small museum in Scituate features an exhibit on Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary shipwrecks, including the wreck of the coastal steamship Portland. The museum holds in its collection actual artifacts from the wreck, including a life vest and stateroom door.
HOURS: Open Saturdays and Sundays, 1-4pm (summer only). Sundays 1-4pm throughout the rest of the year. There is a small charge for admission.
