SBNMS Provincetown Exhibit -- 205 Commercial Street

Come dive into the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary without getting wet. You don't even have to get on a boat. In downtown Provincetown, just a few blocks from the whalewatch fleet, is the sanctuary's new, free, high-tech exhibit. Explore the geology of the area, learn about the history of Stellwagen Bank and the sanctuary, understand the complexity of the food web, and marvel at the wildlife wonders to be found just a few miles offshore. The exhibit includes four touch screen computers with a wealth of information and images and two "video-scopes" that allow you to take a peek at sanctuary species and seafloor research studies. A general information video introduces you to the National Marine Sanctuary program.
HOURS: Seasonal -- June & Sept. Fri.-Sun., 11am-6pm; open seven days a week, 11am-6pm July & August. FREE.
