The upper image is an historic photograph of the Frank A. Palmer, the largest four-masted schooner ever built. The steam coming off the side of the ship is from the donkey engine, which provided power for raising and lowering the sails, taking in the anchor, and other mechanical tasks. At the time of her sinking, the 274'5" ship had a crew of 9 plus captain.

The lower image is a painting of the Frank A. Palmer under sail.
