The only non-endangered species on the list is the minke whale, the smallest of the baleen whales. Minkes, like the three other species, are gulpers (also known as "rorquals.") They have expandable ventral pleats that extend from their chins to their bellies. Minkes east small schooling fish and squid. Japan and Norway, two nation's that have maintained whaling fleets, target these whales in waters around the world.
