Sanctuary
sharks range from the small spiny dogfish (commercially used
as the fish in fish & chips) to the large (35-foot) basking
shark (a plankton eater). Other common sharks in the Sanctuary
are blue, thresher, mako, porbeagle and white. The smooth dogfish
is found south of Cape Cod while the whale shark is found in
tropical seas.
