Directions to the Office

From Rhode Island: Take Route 95 North to Route 128. Go South on Route 128 to Route 3 South (to South Shore and Cape Cod). Take Exit 13 (Routes 53 and 123 East). When you get off the exit, take Route 53 North. Follow about 1/4 mile to the intersection of Route 123. Turn right onto Rt. 123 East and follow through Norwell to Scituate and Route 3A. At the intersection of Route 3A (traffic lights) go straight across and bear right. Go straight at the stop sign. Continue onto The Driftway. (See below for more directions.)

From Cape Cod: Choose best route to the Sagamore Rotary and take Route 3 North to Exit 12 Marshfield/Route 139. Turn onto Route 139 East. Follow about 1/2 mile to the traffic light by the Marshfield School Complex. Turn left and follow to Route 3A. Take a left onto Route 3A North to the second traffic light. Just before the light, take a right and then another hard right (almost a U-turn) onto the Driftway. (See below for more directions.)

From Boston: Take Route 93/Southeast Expressway South to Route 3 South. Follow to Exit 13 and take Route 53 North. Follow about 1/4 mile to the intersection of Route 123. Turn right onto Route 123 East and follow through Norwell to Scituate and Route 3A. At the intersection of Route 3A (traffic lights), go straight across and bear right, to the stop sign. Continue across onto The Driftway. (See below for more directions.)

From the Driftway: Stay on this main paved road (its name changes to New Kent Road and the "Driftway" drifts off as a small dirt road). The paved road will take you past the Town Landfill and a Golf Course on the left and a salt marsh on the right to Scituate Harbor. At the stop sign (St. Mary's church on left, parish center on the right) turn right onto Edward Foster Road. Follow over a small bridge and left at the intersection. Take your next left (this is still Edward Foster Road) and go past a boatyard (on the left), a beach (on the right) and up another hill. The sanctuary headquarters is the large white building at the top of the hill (on the corner of Sunset Road).

Parking: Turn left onto Sunset Road to the parking area beyond the SBNMS Meeting Annex building. You may take any available space, but try to pull in as far as possible to allow for double or triple parking. Please do not block other vehicles if you plan to be away from the building for most of the day (i.e., diving or on a research cruise).
